Sales

We're looking for salespeople to manage accounts and skyrocket customer growth. If you're a self-starter with a consultative approach to selling — with experience pitching sales to any audience, and cultivating great client relationships — this job for you!

The Role

As the Director of AM, you will be responsible for executing our engagements with our customers. You will ensure the client receives maximum value from their engagements with SurveyMonkey. In this role, you will ultimately be accountable for customer retention and additional revenue potential (cross-sell and upsell). You will work very closely with our mid-market and Enterprise sales teams to support our customers and also play a large role in growing our existing accounts by working with our sales team to develop a steady pipeline of opportunities within your customer ecosystem.

You are a self-motivated leader with high social intelligence and a natural inclination for developing relationships with clients and effectively managing accounts and act as the voice of your customers. You can manage numerous customers at different stages of the customer lifecycle with ease. You also love understanding a product in depth and then communicating that product to the users. You have at least 5 years of experience managing a high performing account management function. You are driven and can show evidence that you thrive in a visionary, merit-based environment.

Responsibilities

  • Become an expert in SurveyMonkey solutions for businesses of all sizes and adapt recommendations quickly to suit varying client needs
  • Provide dedicated account management to mid-market and enterprise clients
  • Work cross-functionally within sales and other functions to drive revenue and increase customer satisfaction
  • Manage all post-sales activity for SurveyMonkey customers through strong relationship-building, product knowledge, planning and execution
  • Maintain a deep understanding of all SurveyMonkey products and speak with customers about the most relevant features/functionality for their specific business needs
  • Increase customer retention by conducting regular check-in calls for tactical items, and perform quarterly health checks for strategic reviews
  • You will help generate new/expansion business by utilizing your existing relationships with your customers to build a pipeline of opportunities.
  • Work directly with the Client Success and the Customer Support teams to ensure we are providing the very best support to our customers

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree
  • Minimum of 5+ years of SaaS account management experience, preferably at a software/technology company
  • 8-10 yrs of strong leadership capability with proven experience building and managing dynamic, collaborative, and high performing teams
  • You have experience managing and negotiating with Fortune 1000 companies
  • Technical competence and understanding of software platforms
  • You are detail-oriented with the ability to set priorities and be flexible in a changing environment
  • Excellent written, communication and presentation skills

At SurveyMonkey, we offer competitive salaries, medical/dental benefits, PTO, 401k, paid holidays and parental leave, and equity compensation.
