The Role 

SurveyMonkey’s product suite is used by millions of customers globally, increasingly focused on targeted, high-value use cases.  We are searching for a VP of Product Management to oversee our platform efforts that provide the foundation across our solutions.  This is a highly strategic, influential and visible role. In it you will oversee a talented team product managers with responsibilities including:

  • Billing &  Payments: enabling all of the web transactions across our product suite
  • Security: addressing enterprise scale and abuse needs
  • User & Authorization: providing authorization capabilities, organizational controls, and user management capabilities
  • APIs:  empowering our capabilities to be leveraged internally and externally to maximize value
  • Machine Learning: driving our efforts to leverage technology to raise new capabilities & insights from our diverse data sets

Reporting directly to our Chief Product Officer, you will be responsible for driving our broad platform roadmap and initiatives that includes; foundational monetization efforts, integration of recently acquired products (via M&A) into our heterogeneous platform structure, extending our API framework for future expansion, reinforcing security and scale capabilities in line with our up-market shift into enterprise solutions, and completing our transition to the cloud.  


  • Own our platform strategy across our strategic product pillars of Surveys, Customer Experience Management and Market Research, partnering closely with leaders of those lines of business to ensure our platform is enabling scale, value expansion, and velocity in our innovation efforts.
  • Execute on key initiatives to drive scale, extensibility and velocity across our heterogeneous technology stack
  • Lead our Platform product team: hire, inspire and empower a team of high-performing product managers.
  • Align a cross-functional leadership team (including Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Operations, Infrastructure, Marketing and Support) to ensure successful delivery of our roadmap to drive customer value and business results.
  • Develop and manage to set of team KPI’s that drive prioritization and evaluation of success.


  • BS or advanced degree in technical discipline or equivalent experience 
  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise software or SaaS company in a people & product leadership function
  • Outstanding track record building and scaling high-performing teams in an entrepreneurial environment
  • Experience building platform-oriented product solutions, preferably biased toward SaaS offerings and cloud technology
  • Comfort and confidence identifying business strategy and delivering results
  • Credible and effective C-level advisor, proven effectiveness at leading and facilitating executive meetings and communications
  • Strong knowledge of business processes, including Product Management, Business Development, Marketing, Sales and Customer Success
