Candidacy to the Moniheli Election Committee

You can use this form to nominate yourself or others as members of the Election Committee. Members of the Election Committee will be elected at the Spring Meeting on 23 May 2026.

If you are filling in the form on behalf of a candidate, please make sure you have the necessary information (contact details, the candidate’s previous experience, and skills).
👨‍👩‍👧‍👧 What is the Election Committee?
The Election Committee assists the Network's Board and Chair in preparing the elections.

The Election Committee
  • identifies suitable candidates for the Board from within and outside the Network,
  • assesses their skills and suitability for the role,
  • and prepares a proposal for a competent and balanced Board for the General Assembly.
The members of the Election Committee representing the Network are elected by vote at the General Assembly.

The members of the Electoral Commission shall act according to guidelines and principles to be decided by the Network at the same General Assembly. The term of office of the Election Committee is mainly from the Spring Assembly to the Autumn Assembly and the elections.
🧑‍🏫 Who can be a member of the Election Committee?
A person with experience in organisational work and management in general, as well as experience in the areas of activity covered by Moniheli's statutes, may be elected as a member of the Election Committee.

Members of the Election Committee may be
  • former or current board members, chairpersons or other experienced organisational actors of member organisations,
  • former chairpersons of Moniheli, former Moniheli board members or other former holders of positions of trust,
  • where appropriate, external experts with the necessary expertise to meet the current needs.
🎓 Necessary skills for Election Committee members
In order for the Election Committee to assess the suitability of potential board members for the position (board member or chairperson), the members of the Election Committee must have skills in the same areas of expertise as those assessed in the candidates. In addition, election committee members assess the suitability of candidates, so staff or similar skills are important.

It is imperative that election committee members fulfill the following criteria:
  • Time to participate in election committee activities (meetings, candidate interviews) and commitment to tasks and schedule
  • Experience working on the board of a non-profit organisation
  • Understanding of diversity, including of the skills needed to run Moniheli

In addition to the above, an election board member must have demonstrated knowledge and expertise in at least two of the following topics:
  • The field of integration in Finland
  • Human resource management, recruitment or similar

  • Working in non-governmental organisations
